Gloucester Union Relief Association of Missionary Baptist

The Gloucester Union Relief Association of Missionary Baptist was established in 1866 by the Rev. Samuel Harding, pastor of the Zion Poplars Baptist church. It’s purpose was to give financial assistance to churches that were struggling to erect buildings to perform mission work, home and foreign, and to give relief to disabled and aged ministers. Bethel Baptist, First Baptist, First Morning Star Baptist, First United Baptist, Gleaning Baptist, Morning Glory Baptist, New Mt. Zion Baptist, Rising Valley Baptist, Saint Paul Baptist, Shepherdsville Baptist, Union Zion Baptist, Zion Hill Baptist and Zion Poplars Baptist churches make up the Union. This website has been made possible by their very generous financial contribution.
